Tire Rotation (Every Year) + Cleaning Brake Dust

Apart from tire rotation, cleaning brake dust is one chore that is overlooked but quite important.

This is applicable to drum brakes and no additional special tool is required to clean out the brake dust.

Brake dust, if accumulated, will not perform to par during yearly mandated inspection because the brake shoe cannot bite and hold the drum from rotating.

When the wheel is removed, simply release the handbrake to allow the drum to spin freely by hand.
The drum may be removed by hand. If tight, use the two jack bolts holes on the cover to remove the drum.

Simply and easy.

Cleaning the brake dust, you may use DRY shop air or brake cleaner.
